    • How far can we accompany children travelling alone?

      You can take unaccompanied minors (UM) up to check-in, where they will be attended by the assistance service.

      Attention: Accompanying persons are required to stay in the airport until the aircraft has left Geneva.

      For more information, please contact the airline concerned.

    • I have lost or forgotten something. Who can I contact?

      If you have lost something, the steps to take depend on where you lost the item:

      • inside the plane,
      • in the transit area,
      • in the airport or outside (public area),
      • in the CFF train station or in a Swiss train,
      • in the city of Geneva.

    • I had an item confiscated at the security check. Can I get it back?

      No, items confiscated at the security check cannot be returned.
      All items seized during the security check will be destroyed, unless otherwise advised by the police services.
       

       

    • Is there free Wi-Fi at Genève Aéroport?

      Yes, Genève Aéroport provides free WiFi to its passengers and visitors.

      The federal law on the surveillance of correspondence by post and telecommunications requires that the user of a Free WiFi service be identified: this is why authentication must be carried out in order to be able to connect to the free network "Free_WiFi_GVA". The different connection methods are explained on the Free Wi-Fi GVA description sheet.

    • How can I connect to Wi-Fi if I can’t use an SMS service?

      You have two options if you do not wish or are unable to use an SMS service:

      • Scan the Boarding Pass to get an access code, or with via GVApp by Genève aéroport.
      • Get an access code on presentation of an identity document at the Visitors Centre (Arrival level)

      The various connection options are explained in the GVA Free Wi-Fi description sheet.

       

    • I am unable to track a flight / receive notifications on the GVApp application. Why?

      To receive flights notifications on our mobile application, you must enable push notifications for GVApp.

      • iPhone/iPad: go into Settings, then Notifications.
      • Android: go directly into the application in Extras, then Notifications.

    • Can I stay in the terminal overnight?

      For security reasons, the airport is closed from 00:00 to 04:00. Unfortunately passengers are not allowed to stay inside the terminal while the airport is closed.

      More than 130 hotels in all price ranges in Geneva: the choice is yours. Consult the full list of Geneva hotels, safely book online. If you cannot afford to go to a hotel, we recommend that you contact a Geneva youth hostel, +4122 732 62 60 or +4122 901 15 00.

    • What are the check-in counters opening hours?

      You will find all the practical information (schedules, contacts, proposed check-in methods etc.) on our check-in page.

    • Can I leave bags in the left luggage?

      Yes, you can deposit your bags either in lockers or at a counter (e.g. for bulky items). The lockers and counter are located on the Swiss Railways airport station.

    • Are there any water fountains at the airport?

      Yes, Genève Aéroport offers several water fountains in different areas of the terminal. They are located near the Children’s playground (towards the A8 gate) and mezzanine (in the corridor between the Infirmary and the Children's area). You can locate them with the « water fountain » pictogram on the map of the terminal.

    • Are there areas specially for children on the airport?

      A playground is located in the transit area of the airport, between gates A5 and A8, dedicated to young passengers aged from 3 to 12.

    • Is there a breastfeeding area?

      Yes, there is a breastfeeding area in the Baby Care Room, located in transit area, in the East Wing (gates C).

    • Is it possible to buy an airline ticket on the same day at the airport?

      You can buy tickets directly from airlines that have a counter at Genève Aéroport.
      For more detailed information, including availability and prices, we recommend that you contact
      the airlines concerned directly.

    • Are there showers available to passengers within the airport?

      Showers are available:

      • on the Arrival level, in the transit area near baggage carousel 6,
      • on the Arrival level, in the public area near the Post office,
      • on the Departure level, in the transit area near the first class lounges.

    • Is there a VIP service for passengers at Genève Aéroport?

      Yes, there is a VIP service at Genève Aéroport, offered by two handling agents:

      • Dnata
      • Swissport

      It is also possible to purchase a priority lane ticket (save time at security) and an admission to the lounge via our platform E-services.
