  • May I take more than 100 ml of liquid medication into the cabin?

    Yes, medication needed for the whole of the journey may be taken into the cabin. You may be asked for a prescription (in French).

    Please note that all liquids must me taken out of hand baggage before going through the security check.

  • May I take more than 100 ml of liquid dietary foods into the cabin?

    Yes, dietary products prescribed by a practitioner and needed for the duration of the journey may be taken into the cabin. You may be asked for a prescription (in French).

    Please note that all liquids must be removed from hand baggage before going through security screening.

     

  • What quantity of liquid products am I allowed to take along when travelling with my X-month old baby?

    For a baby, you are allowed to take along baby food - including liquid food - needed for the duration of the journey.

  • I have a metal hip, should I bring a medical certificate to show when I go through the security gate?

    You can bring your medical certificate or simply tell the officer when you go through security.

  • Is hydro-alcoholic gel quantity limited to 100 ml for hand-luggage?

    Hydro-alcoholic gels are no longer subject to the limitation of 100 ml: they are considered today as a medicine. However, above 500 ml you need to present a medical prescription.

  • May I take an insulin injection kit for diabetics into the cabin?

    Yes, you may take your insulin injection kit into the cabin. If possible, bring your medical prescription (in French) with you.

    Please note that all liquids must be taken out of your hand baggage before going through security screening.

  • May I carry liquid products in hand baggage and in what quantities?

    You may take liquids with you in hand baggage in containers with a capacity of up to 100 ml per product, in vials/bottles that also must not exceed 100 ml.

    Also, all vials/bottles must be contained in a one litre transparent resealable bag (e.g. a freezer bag).

    The bag must be taken out of your hand baggage before going through security screening.

  • Can I take sandwiches, biscuits and chocolates on board?

    Yes, you can take them on board.

  • Can I transport raclette cheese or fondue cheese in my hand luggage?

    Yes, you can carry raclette cheese and fondue cheese in your hand luggage without quantity restriction, as long as it is a block of cheese or grated cheese.

    "Ready-to-use" fondue cheeses are however prohibited in hand luggage.

  • Can I travel with a razor in hand luggage?

    Disposable razors and electric shavers are allowed in your hand luggage.

  • Can electronic devices (consoles, appliances, etc.) be transported as hand luggage?

    Each airline issues different standards for the transportation of electronic devices. We recommend that you contact the airline concerned before you fly.

    In addition, you can consult the regulatory information for the transport of dangerous goods, including the transport of electronic devices. The part concerning lithium metal / lithium ion (ION) batteries may be applicable to drones.

  • Can I travel with an electric bicycle?

    For the transport of the bike (without the battery), please check the conditions for special luggage.

    For the transport of the battery of the electric bicycle, it can cause sparks or a short-circuit. The regulations for the transport of batteries are very detailed and contain restrictions: see the page "Batteries, cells and electronic devices" on the FOCA website.

    In general:

    • Checked baggage: no spare batteries allowed.
    • Hand luggage: spare batteries or rechargeable batteries, provided they do not exceed 100 Watt-hours (Wh) and comply with certain provisions.

    This information is subject to the special provisions of the airline companies.

    You can contact a forwarding agent to send a battery to its destination by a carrier.

  • Can I carry a hair straightener in hand luggage?

    Yes, you can carry a hair straightener in hand luggage.

  • Can I travel with a hoverboard?

    Hoverboards are not allowed, neither in the hold, nor in the cabin.

  • Can I bring a drone in the cabin as hand baggage?

    Each airline has different standards about the transport of drones and electronic objects. We recommend you to contact the airline before your flight.

    For more information, you can download the regulation for the transport of dangerous goods, including the transport of electronic objects. The part about the batteries or lithium metal/ ion-lithium batteries (ION) may concern the drones.

  • Are selfie sticks allowed in hand baggage?

    Yes, selfie sticks are allowed in hand baggage.

  • Are electronic cigarettes allowed in hand baggage?

    You are allowed to have an e-cigarette with you in hand baggage. Spare cartridges are allowed if their contents do not exceed 100 ml and they are put into a transparent resealable plastic bag. The content of the bag may not exceed 1 l.

    Smoking electronic cigarettes is not permitted in the plane, or on the airport premises except in the designated areas.
