The French sector is currently CLOSED for works.
One special feature of Genève Aéroport is that it has a French sector that allows its users to:
check their bags and take an internal flight to a French airport without having to pass through Swiss territory;
For some airlines flying to destinations other than France, check in and go to the international transit area.
make your way easily to the nearby areas of France (Pays de Gex, Divonne-les-Bains, Bellegarde, French Jura Mountains, the departments of Ain, Jura, etc.).
- rent a car from a French agency.
Warning: Following security measures imposed by the Swiss and French authorities, Genève Aéroport informs you that ONLY passengers in possession of an air ticket valid for day D +/-1 are authorised to pass between the international sector and the France sector, and vice versa.
Therefore, car rental agencies’ clients that do not meet this condition must imperatively move from one sector to another by road (car, taxi, etc.), by passing through the Ferney-Voltaire customs. Pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed to use this road.
Genève Aéroport thanks you for your understanding.

Main rules for the airport site area
The airport is a public space in which many people come and go. People's different habits, stress and fatigue sometimes find their expression in forms of frustration and inappropriate behaviour.
In order to make sure that the hub remains a pleasant place to be, Genève Aéroport addresses the following few rules to both passengers and staff working at the airport.
Please apply them both inside the building as well as within its exterior perimeter.
