  • COVID-19 tests at the airport

    Genève Aéroport has a testing centre nearby. It is open 7 days a week and receives people by appointment.

    The choice of the type of test, as well as the validity period of the test, depends on the regulations of your destination or transit country. Please inquire about this in advance.

  • Track your flight

  • Visas & identity papers

    Before departure, check the validity of your passport and extend it if necessary. 

    Photocopy the first four pages, as well as the plane ticket and the list of travellers cheques numbers. Keep two passport photos for unplanned documents.

  • Security check

    All passengers must go through the security check before departure. Wheelchair passengers who are unable to stand up at the security check will be subject to manual control, in a cabin if they so desire.

  • Check-in procedures

    You need to go to the check-in counter of your airline in person to complete the check-in procedures. The check-in agents will inform you of the time when you will be attended in the reception area.

  • Make preparations for your trip

    To benefit from a quality service, notify your airline company or your travel agency of your special assistance needs when booking your ticket, or at least 48 hours before the day of departure for outward and return flights.

  • Ideal arrival time

    Attendance by GVAssistance does not guarantee your departure if you don't arrive at the airport at the time indicated by the airline or the travel agency.

  • Accessibility of the airport

    The public area of the airport, as well as the car parks are fully accessible to passengers in wheelchairs.

    On the other hand, the access to the boarding gates is not always possible for of them, some are accessible only by stairs.

  • By bus (Public transport of Geneve)

    The drop-off and pick-up area from the TPG buses is located on the check-in level in front the SSB Railway station.

    A call point is available in front of the CFF Railway station.

    Tactile-visual guidelines facilitate the journey from the TPG bus stops to the reception area of the GVAssistance.

  • By train (CFF)

    If you need help to get on or off the train, please advice this in advance by calling the Impaired Mobility Call Centre of the Swiss Federal Railways (CFF) at least one hour before your departure.

    Upon arrival at the CFF Railway Station at Genève Aéroport, if you have notified CFF of your situation, you will be directed by a CFF agent to the GVAssistance reception area at the check-in level.

  • By car

    In each parking of the Genève Aéroport, places are reserved exclusively for the disabled subject to a disability card, in exchange of a usual fare.

  • Shopping & restauration

    If you want to go to a restaurant, notify the GVAssistance agent who will assist you with this. She will take you to the closest restaurants as long as time permits it before the departure of the flight. Once you are finished, the person will pick you up on time and at the agreed place.

    If you want to go shopping, the GVAssistance personnel will not be able to assist you. It is recommended that you shop with the person with whom you are travelling.
