easyJet has launched a new door-to-door baggage collection and delivery service in partnership with Airportr, a baggage collection and delivery specialist.
Passengers travelling from Geneva can check in and schedule their baggage to be collected at home, avoiding the hassle of dropping off baggage and waiting for it to be delivered at the airport.
The airline will initially offer passengers three services:
- On departure: passengers travelling from Geneva can now check in their baggage from a designated collection point such as their office, home or hotel. The baggage will be collected by an accredited driver and will then be available on the baggage conveyor on arrival at their destination.
- On arrival: passengers arriving in Geneva from any easyJet airport can book their baggage to be delivered to their final destination, such as their home or hotel.
- Door-to-door: Passengers travelling from London Gatwick to Geneva can book a door-to-door service, offering a totally seamless luggage experience that allows customers to check in from home and have their luggage delivered to their final destination.
easyJet also becomes the first airline to include this service as part of a fare package, meaning that customers on the easyJet FLEXI fare travelling from Geneva will have the service included in their booking.
Airportr will be able to carry and check-in sports equipment such as golf clubs, ski equipment and bicycles free of charge. For families travelling with children, pushchairs and car seats can also be checked in.
