Prepare your journey with peace of mind!

30.06.2025

Summer 2025 looks busy at Genève Aéroport with nearly 1.7 million passengers expected in July and August. There are 125 destinations from Geneva served by 48 airlines. For a smooth journey, we invite you to plan ahead and take advantage of the many services available.

Since June 23, check‑in and security areas have been open from 4:00, to facilitate handling early flights between 6:00 and 8:00. We strongly recommend arriving at the airport early (three hours before your flight and/or following your airline’s instructions), especially on the busiest summer days: Sunday, July 27, Friday, August 1 and Sunday, August 3.

1. Time‑saving tips

Consider purchasing a Priority Lane ticket, also offered as an option by some airlines, which allows faster access through security.

2. Opt for home baggage pickup

If you want to travel hands‑free, the AirPortr service, offered by British Airways, KLM, SWISS, Austrian, and easyJet, will collect your baggage from your home, check it in, and deliver it to your home (or another address) when you return.

The CFF also offer a baggage‑shipment service from your train station to Genève Aéroport (and vice versa), ideal for stress‑free travel. It’s advisable to book this service several days in advance via their website.

3. Gain comfort

For added comfort, you can access airline lounges (subject to conditions), and you can also book access via our website even if traveling in economy class. These spaces offer a quiet atmosphere, drinks, snacks, and Wi‑Fi.

You can also reserve a VIP service: personalized assistance on arrival and departure, including support with formalities and dedicated guidance. More information on VIP Services – Genève Aéroport

4. Check in online

Do not forget to check in online up to 24 hours before departure (depending on your airline) to save time at the airport.

5. Avoid unpleasant surprises with your baggage

Be sure to label your bags with your complete contact details and check for prohibited items in carry‑on and checked baggage. The Geneva police warn passengers about certain items that may be illegal in Switzerland, even if purchased abroad in good faith.
