Shanghai is a fascinating metropolis, where futuristic skyscrapers coexist with historical neighborhoods, offering a striking and unique contrast. On one side, the dizzying towers of Pudong—such as the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl—symbolize the city’s economic dynamism. On the other, the Lilong neighborhoods, with their traditional brick houses and winding alleyways, preserve the soul of early 20th-century Shanghai.
Must-see experiences during your stay:
🌸 Yuyuan Garden: A peaceful haven in the heart of the city, with rockeries, ponds, and traditional pavilions—offering a glimpse into the Ming dynasty’s art of Chinese garden design.
🚆 Maglev Train: The magnetic levitation train connects Pudong International Airport to the city center in just 7 minutes, reaching speeds of up to 431 km/h—a truly unique experience.
🍴 Shanghai Street Food: On
Wujiang Road, explore a wide variety of stalls offering local specialties such as
shengjianbao (pan-fried meat buns) and
congyoubing (scallion pancakes) in a lively, flavorful atmosphere.
