The third edition of the GVA Workshop, held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Le Chef restaurant at Geneva Airport, was a great success. With over 100 participants, the event has firmly established itself as a key professional gathering for the travel industry.
The GVA Workshop aims to bring together airlines based in Geneva with travel agencies, tour operators, and Travel Managers from French-speaking Switzerland and neighboring France.
This year’s edition welcomed nearly 20 exhibitors: Air China, Air Mauritius, Air Serbia, Atlantic Joint Venture (Air Canada, SWISS/Lufthansa Group, United Airlines), British Airways / Iberia, easyJet, Emirates, Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, Finnair, Icelandair, ITA Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Luxair, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, Saudia, and TAP Air Portugal — alongside more than 80 visitors.
The event featured three highlights: airline presentations in a 5-minute “speed dating” format, followed by a conference on Air/Rail synergies and how to strengthen multimodality at Geneva Airport. The session welcomed Mr. Gilles Rufenacht, CEO of Geneva Airport, and Mr. David Fattebert, Regional Director for French-speaking Switzerland at SBB. The evening concluded with a networking cocktail reception.
This successful edition reinforces the GVA Workshop’s role as a must-attend event for travel professionals from the French-speaking and cross-border regions. Building on the strong interest and enthusiasm shown once again this year, Geneva Airport is pleased to announce the fourth edition of the GVA Workshop in 2026.
