Until December 31, 2025, Swiss and French citizens holding ordinary passports can
travel to China without a visa for a maximum stay of 30 days. This exemption applies to travel for business, tourism, family visits, transit, or cultural exchanges.
Swiss citizens whose stay exceeds 30 days or whose purpose of visit does not meet the mentioned conditions must continue to apply for a visa before departure.
The visa exemption presents a great opportunity for
long-stay travel throughout China. Passengers can now benefit from
two direct connections from Geneva:
- Beijing with Air China, operating four weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
- Starting June 16, Shanghai with China Eastern, offering four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
