Employees will also have access to dedicated parking areas, available by subscription.
2- Why this change?
Until now, no regulations existed for motorized two-wheeler parking at Geneva Airport. These spaces were free and allowed for unlimited parking duration.
Consequences:
• Unregulated use of spaces (safety and traffic issues)
• Parking saturation (long-term parked vehicles, abandoned bikes)
Without regulation, Geneva Airport had no means to take action within the parking areas.
3- Objectives
The new regulation aims to:
• Encourage users to travel to the airport using sustainable mobility (2030 targets: 44% for employees, 58% for passengers)
•
Reduce congestion by eliminating very long-term parking
• Ensure user satisfaction
• Provide better service quality
• Guarantee safety across the airport platform
