Passengers with Reduced Mobility: Preparing Your Departure

For optimal support, inform your airline of your needs when booking your ticket, or at least 48 hours before your flight.

If your request is made later, assistance may be delayed, as priority is given to requests submitted on time.

Once GVAssistance has been informed, you will receive confirmation with all the necessary details and assistance arrangements.

If you are traveling with your own wheelchair, you must also inform your airline of:

• Its dimensions (height, width, weight)
• The type of wheelchair
• If applicable, the type of battery (for electric wheelchairs)

Practical tip: bring your wheelchair’s user manual with you.

Your assistance dog can travel free of charge in the cabin, provided it has been declared to your airline.

Make sure you have the following documents with you:

• Pet passport
• Up-to-date vaccinations
• Microchip
• Entry requirements for your destination country

Whether you are driving or being dropped off, several parking options are available depending on your needs:

A GVAssistance agent will accompany you from Genève-Aéroport railway station.

If you cannot reach the terminal on your own, a call point is located just outside the station entrance to contact a GVAssistance agent. Tactile guidance paths are also available to help you reach their reception area.

Taxis drop you off directly at the entrance of the Check-in level.
