Lost and Found

Procedures vary depending on when the item was lost during your journey.

1) Before security screening

If you lost your item in a public area:

• In a parking area
• Inside the terminal (Arrivals, Check-in or Departures levels)
• Outside the airport

Report the loss to the Police or the Geneva Lost Property Office.

  Items are kept for 24 hours (48 hours on weekends).

⚠️ The police do not return items, except in emergencies.

Items can be collected directly at the counter:
Rue des Glacis-de-Rive 5, Geneva

2) After security screening

If you lost your item after security:

• In the transit area
• Near boarding gates
• In a shop or restaurant

Contact the Swissport Lost & Found service.

3) After arrival in Geneva

If you lost your item before passing customs:

• In the disembarkation area
• In restricted airport areas

Contact the Swissport Lost & Found service.

If you forgot your item on the plane or on a bus between the terminal and the aircraft:

1. First check your airline’s handling agent in the airline list.
2. Then contact the appropriate Lost & Found service:

• Flights handled by Dnata : Contact Dnata
• Flights handled by Swissport: Contact Swissport

If you lost your item outside the airport, in the city of Geneva:

If you lost your item on a train or at a Swiss railway station, report it to SBB. Search and recovery are handled directly by their services.
