Two-wheeler parking Changes in 2026
What’s new since March 1
Why this change?
Until now, no regulations existed for motorized two-wheeler parking at Geneva Airport. These spaces were free and allowed for unlimited parking duration.
Consequences:
- Unregulated use of spaces (safety and traffic issues)
- Parking saturation (long-term parked vehicles, abandoned bikes)
What are the objectives of this change?
The new regulation aims to:
- Encourage users to travel to the airport using sustainable mobility (2030 targets: 44% for employees, 58% for passengers)
- Reduce congestion by eliminating very long-term parking
- Ensure user satisfaction
- Provide better service quality
- Guarantee safety across the airport platform
