Geneva’s network is expanding further east. Tbilisi has been served by easyJet since 2025, the Moldovan capital Chișinău has been offered by FlyOne since July, while AnimaWings has been connecting Geneva with Bucharest since this spring.

Three capitals with very different identities are now accessible by direct flight from Geneva, whether for a cultural weekend or as the starting point for a wider tour.

Discover three destinations full of character:

Georgia

Tbilissi

With its historic lanes, carved wooden balconies and the sulphur baths of Abanotubani, Tbilisi reveals a unique identity at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

Narikala Fortress overlooks the old town, while Georgian cuisine, local wines and excursions into the Caucasus offer even more to discover.

A warm and fascinating capital, accessible by direct easyJet flights on Mondays and Thursdays.

Romania

Bucharest

Palais du Parlement, Bucarest

Once nicknamed the “Little Paris”, Bucharest blends Belle Époque façades, monumental architecture and lively neighbourhoods.

From the Palace of Parliament to the streets of Lipscani, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Village Museum and Herăstrău Park, the capital makes for a surprising, vibrant and culture-filled city break.

A great introduction to Romania, with direct flights from Geneva with AnimaWings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Moldova

Chișinău

Green, peaceful and still relatively undiscovered, Chișinău charms visitors with its parks, markets and relaxed atmosphere.

Nearby, the underground wine cellars of Cricova and the Orheiul Vechi site (picture) offer a chance to discover Moldova’s wines, monasteries, landscapes and rural traditions.

An authentic escape off the beaten track, served by direct FlyOne flights twice a week. Depending on the period, flights operate on Thursdays and Sundays or on Mondays and Fridays.
