Summer 2026 is shaping up to be a busy season at Genève Aéroport, with many passengers expected in July and August. This summer, Genève Aéroport offers more than 120 direct destinations, operated by nearly 50 scheduled airlines. To ensure a smooth journey, we invite you to plan your arrival at the airport in advance and make the most of the many services available to you.

We strongly recommend arriving at the airport early enough, ideally three hours before your flight’s departure, or following the recommendations provided by your airline. Planning ahead is particularly important at weekends.

1. Discover your new travel assistant

To get your journey off to the smoothest possible start, remember to check your travel information in advance. Seven days before your departure, select your flight and get all the practical information you need for your journey. You will receive all the necessary updates in real time via WhatsApp or Messenger.

2. Purchase services for greater comfort

Book your Priority Lane access. This service makes it easier to access security checks.

To make your waiting time more enjoyable, you can also access the VIP lounges with the VIP Pack, which includes priority access to security checks and access to the lounge of your choice among four lounges. This service is not available in the French Sector. Recently, it has become possible to book these services on the same day, up to two hours before your flight’s departure.

3. Avoid unpleasant surprises with your luggage

Before you leave, remember to label your luggage with your full contact details and check the rules that apply to cabin and checked baggage. Some items may be prohibited or regulated, even if they were legally purchased abroad. We therefore recommend consulting the information available on our dedicated page and checking with your airline before departure.

4. Travel lighter with baggage services

If you would like to travel hands-free, certain services can take care of your luggage before you arrive at the airport. The AirPortr service, offered with selected airlines, includes baggage collection from your home, check-in and, depending on the option selected, delivery of your luggage back to your home or to the address of your choice on your return

5. Check in online

When your airline allows it, remember to check in online before your departure, generally up to 24 hours before your flight. This saves time at the airport and makes your journey easier, especially if you are travelling with cabin baggage only.

6. Enjoy our restaurants and shops
