Montréal–Geneva route: Air Transat to launch flights in summer 2027

Genève Aéroport announces the launch of a new Montréal–Geneva–Montréal route by Canadian airline Air Transat. The airline will operate two weekly flights from June to October 2027, using Airbus A321LR aircraft.

The intercontinental flights will depart from Montréal on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and from Geneva on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Airbus A321LR, with a capacity of 199 passengers (12 in Club Class and 187 in Economy Class), is a next-generation aircraft combining fuel efficiency with enhanced passenger comfort.

The first flight will depart from Montréal on Saturday 19 June 2027, with the season ending on 24 October 2027.

Founded in Montréal in 1987, Canadian airline Air Transat offers flights to international destinations, primarily in Europe, the Caribbean, South America and North Africa. The airline is headquartered in Montréal, with major hubs at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

Air Canada has been successfully operating the Montréal–Geneva route for more than 15 years, offering daily flights during the summer season and five weekly flights in winter.

The arrival of Air Transat alongside Air Canada on the Geneva–Montréal route highlights the strong potential of both regions, in terms of tourism, economic opportunities and connections between communities on both sides of the Atlantic.
