Night closures of the Ferney tunnel Roadworks

Photo de la route de Ferney

As part of the TNGS project works (Tram Nations - Grand-Saconnex), the Ferney tunnel will be closed to traffic every night from 5 July 2026, from Sunday to Thursday inclusive, between 22:00 and 5:00. These night-time closures are part of a programme of works expected to last around 18 months.

Impact on passengers

Passengers travelling to or from Genève Aéroport during these times are advised to plan their journey in advance. Additional travel time should be expected, particularly for access to the International sector.

During the closure periods, a diversion will be in place via the Vireloup customs post, in accordance with the traffic management plan.

Access to the French sector maintained

Access to the French sector of Genève Aéroport, including the P20 car park and car rental agencies, will remain available throughout the works. The customs road will not be affected by these closures.

Passengers are advised to allow extra time and plan their journey in advance to ensure they arrive at the airport in the best possible conditions.
