A humanitarian flight to Syria chartered by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) took off on Tuesday, 9 October 2012 from Genève Aéroport for Amman.
Loaded with 25 tons of water purification equipment and tanks, the Royal Jordanian Airbus 310F will unload its cargo in Jordan after which it will be transported by road to various parts of Syria to help the local population.
