Hosted by Genève Aéroport, the 24th congress of French-speaking airports (ALFA-ACI), which took place from 27 to 30 May 2015 in Geneva, was a clear success, with the participation of over 380 people, including a large delegation of African countries.
This annual event was opened by State Councillor Pierre MAUDET, who stressed the need for forward thinking and vision on the part of airports in the context of today. Speeches by Thomas JUIN, President of ALFA-ACI, and Robert DEILLON, CEO of Genève Aéroport, completed the ceremony.
During the two days of lectures and discussions, various topics were discussed, such as trends in air traffic up to 2025, airports' business models, new technologies and services, evolution of safety, etc.
Some thirty exhibition stands enabled suppliers and consultants in the aeronautical field to present their services. Moreover, the congress was sponsored by prestigious partners like Autogrill, Amadeus, JCDecaux, Nuance, or Relay.
During their stay, delegates were also given an overview of Geneva's tourism and cultural offer, including a welcome evening at the Ariana Museum and a gala dinner in the Plainpalais communal hall.
