In order to cope with the current exceptional situation related to the Covid-19 epidemic and to respond to the requests of the health authorities, Geneva Airport is putting in place new measures as of Tuesday 17 March, at 05:00 am.
Only passengers holding a valid ticket on a confirmed flight will be allowed to enter the airport. No other accompanying person or passenger whose flight has been cancelled will be allowed to enter the terminal. Thus, any person who decides to come to Geneva Airport to manage his or her cancellation or change of reservation will be refused entry. Passengers must carry out all these procedures by internet, e-mail or telephone.
These strict screening measures aim to reduce congestion in the terminal and create more space between waiting passengers, in accordance with the hygiene measures required by the health authorities.
Indeed, despite various information put in place by Geneva Airport, too many people visited the airport on 14, 15 and 16 March.
Moreover, each person is reminded that the hygiene measures recommended by the health authorities are essential. Everyone is responsible for applying them to limit the spread of Covid-19 and protect the most vulnerable people.
Geneva Airport warmly thanks the passengers for their understanding and strongly underlines the commitment of all the teams working.
