Discover Africa directly from Geneva with Ethiopian Airlines

While travelling within Europe remains complicated, many African countries have reopened and welcome tourists, within strict sanitary measures. Ethiopian Airlines, on-line in Geneva since 2018, is currently operating three nonstop flights per week from Geneva to their global hub in Addis Ababa. From there, excellent connections cover many cities in all parts of Africa.

Ethiopian Airlines will continue to operate for now three weekly frequencies nonstop between Geneva and the capital of Ethiopia. Departures from Geneva are on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (GVA 22:45 - ADD 06:45) and return flights from Addis Ababa leave on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (ADD 00.15 - GVA 06:15). The aircraft is a new generation Boeing 787 “Dreamliner” with two classes and a total capacity of 270 seats.

Several countries in Africa are now open for tourism and welcome international travellers with beautiful attractions and safe security measures. For example, Tanzania is well connected by Ethiopian Airlines (Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar). Seychelles and Namibia are also perfect destinations for the winter with excellent transfer via Addis Ababa. In total, Ethiopian Airlines has already restarted operations in 49 African destinations (out the 62 African on-line cities), which confirms that Ethiopian is the leading carrier for this continent.

Ethiopian Airlines Group has successfully completed a new passenger terminal at its global hub in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport with emphasis on Bio Security and Bio Safety measures and important additional capacity for passengers and aircraft. Ethiopian Airlines has also won recently the Africa Tourism Leadership Forum 2020 Award in the "Outstanding Tourism Transportation Award" category.
