Emirates returns to Geneva with three weekly flights

13.07.2020

From 15 July, Emirates will resume its scheduled air services for travellers between the Dubai hub and Geneva. They will operate three weekly connections to the second-largest city of Switzerland using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Flight EK90 will take off on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 15:15 from Geneva and will land at 23:45 in Dubai. Return flight EK89 will depart at 08:30 from Dubai International Airport and land at Geneva Aéroport at 13:15.

«We are delighted to be able to add Geneva to our flight schedule. From mid-July, our passengers from French-speaking Switzerland will once again benefit from our comfortable and safe flights to Dubai and beyond» stated Juerg Müller, Emirates Country Manager Switzerland.

The airline also announced the resumption of flights to five other destinations: Los Angeles, Dar Es Salaam, Prague, Sao Paolo and Boston. Emirates network reached 58 destinations in August, including 20 in Europe and 24 in the Asia-Pacific region.

With the gradual reopening of borders over the summer, Emirates has revised its reservation policies to provide clients with the flexibility and safety they need to plan their trip. Passengers who purchase an Emirates ticket before 31 July 2020 to travel no later than 30 November 2020 will benefit from generous booking conditions and opportunities if they have to change their travel plans due to unexpected flight or travel restrictions linked to COVID-19, or if they book a Flex or Flex plus tariff.

Regarding health and safety on board, Emirates has implemented a full range of measures at each stage of the journey to ensure the safety of its clients and employees both on the ground and in flight, including the free distribution of hygiene product kits, which contain masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes, to all clients.

With regard to travel restrictions: it should be noted that these remain in force and that passengers will only be accepted on flights if they meet the requirements of the entry criteria for their country of destination. Passengers travelling to Dubai must have an international health insurance policy covering Covid-19 illnesses for the duration of their stay.
