Coronavirus: passenger information

28.01.2020

In the context of the new coronavirus situation, the Swiss health authorities do not currently recommend any specific measures for arrivals or departures at international airports.

Genève Aéroport has therefore not put in place any specific measures at this stage.

Travellers to or from China are advised to follow the recommendations issued by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

In Switzerland, the decision to implement measures concerning international airports is made by the FOPH, in collaboration with the border doctor, following the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Genève Aéroport is in contact with the competent authorities and is closely monitoring the situation.

No specific measures are currently required for the staff. The employees of the airport platform are currently at no risk and can work safely.

Genève Aéroport has set up a unit to manage this health situation. Coordination continues with the competent authorities, namely the Federal Office of Public Health and the border doctor.

Any development in the situation, which would require adjustment of the measures, will be communicated.
