The Geneva airline Flybaboo is inaugurating a connection this Spring to Saint Petersburg, former city of the Tsars.
The Geneva airline will be making 4 roundtrip flights a week, using its 5 new aircraft ordered from manufacturer Embraer (3 delivered this Spring). The aircraft seat 100 passengers (or 26 more than the airline’s current planes) and have a range that will enable them to reach cities more distant than those offered hitherto.
Flybaboo was granted traffic rights by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation; under the agreements between Switzerland and Russia, only one airline per country is authorised for each destination.
