The U.S. authorities have announced new security measures for passengers on flights to the United States.
They include, in particular, a ban on liquids or gels in hand baggage – drinks, shampoo, sun lotion, creams, toothpaste, hair gel, or substances with a similar consistency.
The only items allowed are baby foods and baby milk if a baby is actually travelling; medical prescriptions labelled with the passenger’s name; insulin or other medical prescriptions under certain conditions.
These measures take effect immediately.
We advise passengers to consult the Internet sites of the airlines on which they will be travelling.
We recommend that the passengers concerned present themselves at the check-in desks two hours before the flight.
