After having confirmed the opening of the London City, Milan Malpensa and Marseilles routes, Baboo makes another two new announcements: the opening of a Geneva-Oxford route and a partnership with the airline Tarom.
Opening of the Geneva-Oxford route
As of 19 December this year, Baboo will be flying between Geneva International Airport and London-Oxford Airport once a week every Saturday. This is actually the 12th weekly flight to London: the other 11 serve London City.
Baboo thus becomes the first scheduled international airline to serve London-Oxford, hitherto reserved for private aircraft and charters. That prestigious city and its rich surrounding area have much in common with the other exclusive destinations served by Baboo like St. Tropez and Florence.
Geneva (GVA) – Oxford (OXF) every Saturday from 19 December 2009:
- Leaving GVA 12:20, arriving OXF 13:20
- Leaving OXF 14:05, arriving GVA 17:00
Partnership with Tarom
For the past year, Baboo has been present on the Geneva-Bucharest route. As a result of its partnership with Tarom, Baboo now offers 12 flights a week between Switzerland and Bucharest: the 6 Baboo flights from Geneva and 6 Tarom flights from Zurich are all sold under a code-sharing agreement by both airlines.
And what is more, the agreement will allow Baboo’s customers to take advantage of Tarom’s network to the Romanian provinces and Eastern Europe beyond Bucharest. From Bucharest, Bordeaux, Nice and Toulouse will be offered with connections via Geneva.
All the flights concerned are on sale on the Baboo web site.
