New 'Kiss & Fly' at Genève Aéroport

One year to the day after it was first opened, the drop-off point for travellers being driven to the airport has been moved even closer to the terminal building.

As of 19 December, travellers catching a flight from Genève Aéroport can arrange to be driven to the airport and dropped off at the entrance by taking the "Kiss & Fly" lane that is shortly to be opened on the upper platform in front of the terminal building (Check-in level). The new lane replaces the one that was inaugurated last year; the renovation work having made steady progress, the lane is being moved closer to the airport.

As its name indicates, the "Kiss & Fly" facility is not designed for cars to park, even for a short time. It does, however, allow passengers to be dropped off at a convenient spot and in the best conditions … with just enough time for a good-bye kiss before take-off!

The Kiss & Fly area has been set up to officialize and secure an unauthorized custom that sometimes resulted in vehicles being double- or triple-parked along the access roads in front of the airport. As a drop-off system it offers passengers a good alternative during the holiday season, when the short-term parking lots are full.

In this respect, Genève Aéroport management reminds travellers that it is preferable to go to the airport using public transport (train, bus 5, 10, 23, 28, 57, F, Y). During the forthcoming busy period, it is also important to be at the airport at least two hours before take-off.
