Winter 2017-2018 air services

Looking for new getaway ideas with direct flights? Starting the Winter season, which debuts on 29 October 2017, Genève Aéroport offers some novelties in its air services. These should satisfy travellers looking for distant getaways.

Great novelty for this period, the return of Air Mauritius and its weekly long-haul flight to Mauritius in the heart of the Indian Ocean.

Main operator in Geneva, easyJet completes its air network Atlantic destinations with a weekly flight to Funchal (Madeira Island) and another to Las Palmas (Gran Canaria Island).

In addition, easyJet completes its network to England with a flight three times a week to Southampton.

Subject to Government approval, Air Moldova will offer a new flight, twice a week, to Moldova capital Chisinau.

The company Air Baltic offers Riga (in Latvia) 3 times per week, a privileged access to the Baltic countries, Scandinavia and part of the Eastern Europe.

In addition to Rome and Barcelona, the Spanish airline Vueling develops its network with a weekly flight to Las Palmas (Gran Canaria Island).

It should be noted that the company “Adria operated by Darwin” has resumed for a few weeks the flight to Lugano operated by Etihad Regional.

Besides numerous improvements, the rapid development of air transport leads however to the decrease or even cancellation of routes, for reasons of strategy or profitability.

Overall, 50 airlines will link Geneva to 107 destinations during the 2017-2018 Winter season.
