Getting passengers to their destination, on time and with complete health and operational peace of mind: this is Genève Aéroport's main mission. To face a complex summer due to the various documentary and health requirements of the States and the airlines, please find below advice to ensure your peace of mind when travelling.
- Six to seven days before departure: consult the sanitary conditions and regulatory requirements of your country of destination. The choice of the type of test for example, as well as the period of validity of the test, depends on the regulations of the country of destination or transit.
Find information about your flight and destination on our Covid page.
- Three to four days before departure: gather all the necessary travel documents (identity documents, boarding passes if prior registration, vaccination certificate, proof of cure or PCR tests if necessary, online entry registration, etc.)
Please note: due to high demand, do not wait until the last minute to make an appointment for PCR tests with a test centre!
Genève Aéroport has a testing centre on premises. It is open 7 days a week and receives people by appointment.
- One day before departure: check if any changes in health or documentary requirements have occurred in the country you wish to visit. In a transitional phase before systematisation of the Covid passport, it is strongly recommended to have the documents in printed form.
- Two hours before flight: show up at the airport with all the required documents. Although waiting times in the queues can be extended during this summer holiday period, it is not necessary to arrive too early.
