Etihad Airways increases frequency from Geneva

06.10.2023

Etihad Airways will operate daily flights between Geneva and Abu Dhabi from 20 December 2023. The airline will add two additional frequencies (Tuesday and Wednesday) to increase the number of weekly flights from 5 to 7.

The flights will be operated by a Boeing 'Dreamliner' 787, one of the world's most innovative aircraft, which is also less polluting and quieter than other aircraft in its class. The aircraft will be the 787-9 in a 3-class configuration, renowned for its comfort and space.

The airline from the United Arab Emirates (based in Abu Dhabi) has been flying to Geneva since 2004, confirming its return to pre-pandemic capacity.

Other routes will also be increasing their frequencies, making it possible to offer daily services from Geneva with stopovers to Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Male since 20 December, as well as 4 times a week to Colombo from January 2024. Other good connections are offered to Asia (Bombay, Dehli, Cochin, Trivandrum, Madras, etc.).

Etihad has also launched a new service to Osaka in Japan from 1 October 2023. Connections to/from Geneva will be available 5 times a week, with a stopover in Abu Dhabi of approximately 3 hours.
