Air France will operate a direct connection between Geneva and the city of Caen every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from 26 November 2018. The four weekly flights are operated with a CRJ 700 with 72 seats and an Embraer 145 with a capacity of 50 passengers.
“We are very pleased with the launch of the new Caen — Geneva line, from 26th November. The launch of this new line confirms the excellent results of the Air France Group departing from Caen-Carpiquet airport and the great dynamism of the urban community.
We have every confidence in the full success of this new international connection, which will serve to further strengthen the economic and tourism relationships between Normandy and Switzerland,” announced Antoine Biton, Air France-KLM Western France Regional Manager.
Caen – gateway to Normandy
Caen is located in the Department of Calvados at the heart of Normandy. The city is the ideal starting point for discovering the North of the France. Visitors can explore the rich historical heritage of the city during a visit of the castle and the eleventh-century Roman monastery churches.
Furthermore, Caen tells the story of World War II, whose course was determined in 1944 in Normandy. The D-day landing beaches, monuments and museums are a testament of the Allied invasion. As regards leisure activities, the La Côte de Nacre beaches are the ideal setting. In addition, the bustling city centre invites visitors to stroll and taste the big three “Cs” - Cider, Calvados and Camembert.
