Getaway ideas for the 2018 Summer season

Looking for new getaway ideas with direct flights? Starting the Summer season, which debuts on 25 March 2018, Genève Aéroport offers some novelties in its air services. These should satisfy travellers looking for getaways.

Big news on 5 June, a new long-haul flight of Ethiopian Airlines will fly three times a week to Ethiopia. Its airport of Addis Ababa is an ideal connection hub for a large part of the Sub-Saharan countries of the African continent.

Main operator in Geneva, easyJet completes its connections to England with a flight to Birmingham three times a week.

For its part, SWISS will offer new destinations: Kalamata (Greece), Pula (Croatia) and Toulon/Hyères (France). Toulon/Hyères will be also served by Air France through its subsidiary Hop.

Adria Airways will take you, the time of a getaway, to Ljubljana (Slovenia).

After years of interruption, the island of Cyprus and the airport of Larnaca will again be served by a direct flight, twice weekly, operated by the Cypriot company Cobalt Air.

To complete the novelties, Air Moldova offers direct flights to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.

In addition to the many new developments, the development of aviation also means that certain routes are reduced or even cancelled for strategic and/or economic reasons.

Overall, 50 airlines will link Geneva to 123 destinations during the 2018 summer season.
