From 2 July to 20 August 2016, SWISS offers one flight every Saturday between Geneva and the airport of Lamezia Terme-Sant'Eufemia, operated by Avro RJ100 with 97 seats. The departure is scheduled at 11.30 am, and arrives at 01.40 pm, with the return flight leaving the boot of the Italian peninsula at 2.40 pm and landing at 5.00 pm in Geneva.
The subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group explains in a statement that “this destination of the Southern Italy, located in the extreme south-west of the peninsula, will surely delight travellers looking for calmness and relaxation, at one and a half hour from Geneva. Lamezia Terme, at the tip of the Italian boot, offers beautiful beaches and idyllic bays with hidden charm.” “Lamezia Terme is a very good complement to our Italian offer, because we noticed a real interest of the region’s population for the South of Italy,” says Lorenzo Stoll, CEO of Swiss International Air Lines in French-speaking Switzerland.
