Genève Aéroport and unireso have awarded a voucher for one annual unireso subscription, as well as a voucher for the airport's shops, worth a total of CHF 700.00 to the passenger who drew the millionth free transport ticket. Since the end of November, unireso and Genève Aéroport have been waiting for the lucky passenger with the millionth ticket. And it was Claire Mackenzie, resident in Geneva, who had the happy hand :)
The concept, introduced in 2008, allows travellers arriving at Genève Aéroport to obtain a free ticket to travel throughout the city by public transport for 80 minutes. This action, whose objective is to promote sustainable mobility instead of the car, is fully in line with Genève Aéroport's sustainable development strategy.
And the operation is a success as 47% of Genève Aéroport passengers use public transport: www.gva.ch/transports. It is also a unique offer that distinguishes Genève Aéroport.
