Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced an expansion of its Cluj-Napoca base, in Romania. The airline will deploy a fourth aircraft on 20 December and launch 3 new services: Geneva, Cologne and Malmo.
The Cluj-Geneva route will commence on 21 December and will be operated twice weekly (Wednesday and Sunday). The aircraft will leave Geneva at 12:40 and arrive at Cluj at 15:55. On the way back, the departure will be at 10:45, with a landing planned at 12:05. Wizz Air operates a single-type fleet of Airbus A320-200, with a capacity of 180 seats.
With these 3 new services, Wizz Air is now offering 20 routes to 10 countries from Cluj-Napoca. The airline has also increased frequencies on some of its most popular routes for winter 2014 (Milan Bergamo, Paris Beauvais, Dortmund, Bologna and Rome Ciampino).
