New destinations in the winter program
- SWISS: Winter program
Swiss International Air Lines’ program for Winter 2011/2012 reflects changing demand: while some flights and destinations have been dropped, others have been added to boost the airline’s network. For example, from February 2012, the airline will fly the new Geneva-Nice route while increasing the number of its flights from Geneva to London, Moscow and Madrid. SWISS now provides its Business Class passengers with a unified, state-of-the-art product, offering maximum comfort on all long-haul flights.
- Extension of the network from Geneva
SWISS will gradually extend its European network from Geneva in the coming months. Services to London City will increase from four to five flights a day from 31 October. Moscow, with two flights a day, will be added from 16 December. From 10 February 2012, SWISS will set a course for the Cote d'Azur with two flights a day to Nice by Airbus A319. Services to Madrid will be increased at the same time, with the company offering three flights a day instead of two. The new service to Nice and the third daily flight to Madrid will mean that a tenth SWISS plane will be parking in Geneva.
- 72 destinations in 38 countries
This Winter, SWISS’s 88 aircraft will serve a total of 72 (47 European and 25 intercontinental) destinations in 38 countries. SWISS now provides its Business Class passengers with a unified, state-of-the-art product offering maximum comfort on all long-haul flights from Zurich and Geneva. Since the introduction of its new Business Class, SWISS is now the only European airline to offer a 3-class configuration on all its intercontinental flights.
- Edelweiss Air / SWISS holiday flights
This Winter, in partnership with Edelweiss Air, SWISS will offer attractive holiday destinations across the world. There will be flights once a week from Geneva to the new holiday destinations of Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.Edelweiss Air/SWISS holiday flights Edelweiss Air/SWISS holiday flights
