SWISS: extension of the network from Geneva

Swiss International Air Lines -

SWISS is strengthening its position in the Geneva market by extending its network and by increasing selectively the number of flights to some of the destinations it already serves.

On 10 February 2012, SWISS will inaugurate a new route between Geneva and Nice: the connection, by Airbus A319, will initially be operated twice a day. This will increase to three flights a day for the 2012 summer program.

As of February 10, flights on the Geneva-Madrid route will increase from two to three a day. The new flights will result in an increase in the number of SWISS aircraft based at Genève Aéroport to ten.

From 16 December 2011, SWISS will double its capacity to Moscow by moving to two flights a day. The new flight will leave Geneva in the evening at 20:15. The return flight will land the next morning at 09:50.

With the introduction of the winter timetable on 31 October 2011, flights on the Geneva - London City route will rise from four to five a day. The connection to Budapest, however, will be discontinued once the 2011/12 winter program comes into effect.
