Traffic is gradually picking up again at Geneva International Airport

20.04.2010

After the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) reopened Swiss airspace to commercial traffic, activity is gradually picking up again today at Geneva International Airport (GVA). A hotline is open to provide passengers with information on the status of flights.

Departures by air from Geneva International Airport (GVA) resumed this morning at 08:00.

However, not all airlines are able to operate all their scheduled flights.
Travellers due to fly from Geneva today are invited to contact their airline to find out if their flight will in fact operate.
The departures board is also available on the first page of the site www.gva.ch.

A free emergency phone line is also open at 00800 2305 2305 to provide passengers with information on flights that will operate today.

Passengers should not go to the airport unless their flight is actually operating and they hold a reservation.
