Léo, the new luggage robot of Genève Aéroport

Since the arrival of its first robot, Robbi in 2013, Genève Aéroport has been expanding its fleet with a luggage robot, a world’s first! Genève Aéroport and SITA Lab worked together on the evolution of Léo, an evolution of Robbi, developed thanks to the technical know-how of the Bluebotics start-up based in the French-speaking Switzerland.

This prototype, tested for a week within our infrastructure, offers passengers to load their luggage in front of the terminal or at the exit of the parking lots, check them in, print the labels and bring them up to the drop-off area. This technology will be presented at the end of May at the Air Transport IT Summit in Barcelona.

The experience of this first test was widely discussed in the media and highly praised.
