The Board of Directors of Genève Aéroport confirms the decisions of the Committee of the Board

Following the publication of the summary examination of the tendering procedure for the Genève Aéroport security services issued on 16 May by the Court of Auditors and the preventive detention of the Head of Security by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Committee of the Board met on the same day. During an extraordinary meeting held this morning, the Board of Directors confirmed the decisions made by the Committee of the Board on 16 May:

-    Genève Aéroport files a complaint, as it considers itself aggrieved
-    Acceptance and implementation of the recommendations issued by the Court of Auditors
-    Mandate granted to an independent company to carry out an external audit
-    Renewal of confidence in the General Manager

The Board of Directors strongly condemns any action contrary to the public interest, supports the work of the justice and recalls the principle of the presumption of innocence. As the investigation is ongoing, there will be no further comments on this topic.

The Board of Directors and the Management work together, in their respective functions, to establish the truth and to continue the measures to improve the tendering procedures undertaken over the past months. They take the necessary actions to preserve the interest of Genève Aéroport.

The Board of Directors remains vigilant and will implement any corrective measures that the external audit may deem necessary.

The Board of Directors expresses its support to all employees affected by the recent events.
