Genève Aéroport unveils its new website as part of the digitalisation of its services

Genève Aéroport published on 19 February its entirely redesigned and more user-friendly website. This is part of the airport’s reflection on the digitalisation of its services and adds to other digital channels.

The redesigned website now focuses on three categories of users: passengers, professionals and those looking for institutional information about the airport. These three separate entries make information and services more accessible. The real time flights status and the car parks fill rates, with the possibility to book online, are available from the home page. More than 14'000 people visit every day.

The sale of travel-related services has been redesigned to enhance users’ experience throughout the purchase process. The e-services are still available for sale: Priority Lane allows fast check-in, ResaPark guarantees the booking of a parking place, and the “Priority Lane + Swissport Horizon Lounge” VIP Pack offers the comfort of one-of-the kind trip. Moreover, with this new tool Genève Aéroport can provide promotional offers and targeted products, with a view to reach customer loyalty.

Thanks to the “My Itinerary” tab, passengers will choose the best transport to or from the airport, while ensuring their ecological footprint. They can also consult the list of direct flights departing from Geneva and have an overview of the service, organised by country, accompanied by touristic descriptions and descriptions of the airlines. Nothing simpler than to book a trip: the Skyscanner comparator offers various flights and rates. And finally, for users who so wish, registration for the monthly electronic newsletter is a way to keep informed of the latest news.

The users’ needs analysis has been at the heart of this cross-cutting project developed on the Kentico content management tool, in collaboration with two independent agencies: Blue-infinity for design and ergonomics, Wide Switzerland for implementation and developments. The site is responsive: it automatically adjusts to the screen, for optimised mobile and tablet use. It has been redesigned in order to be in line with the increasing demands of passengers and will continue to evolve according to the needs.
