Due to the current health situation, the annual Friendly Work Space Label award ceremony was held virtually for the first time, on 27 October 2020. Promotion Santé Suisse rewarded the six newly certified Swiss companies, but also all those which, as required by the quality approach, have carried out a mandatory reassessment every three years.
To date, 81 Swiss companies that place Health Management (WHM) at the heart of their policy and commit themselves to the 25 criteria that define it, through concrete actions and processes, have been awarded this label. The criteria include: health and safety objectives set by the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee, preventive measures, indicators to measure and manage WHM, skills development, work-life balance, commitment for the common good as well as monitoring absences.
Genève Aéroport has benefited from this label since 2013, renewed in 2017 and in 2020. The Friendly Work Space label is awarded on the basis of quality criteria focused on practice, defined in collaboration with leading Swiss companies. External assessors are then appointed to ascertain whether a company meets these criteria.
This award comes this year against the backdrop of an unprecedented crisis, where the health of employees is indisputably central.
