From 12 to 15 June 2022, Geneva will host the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12) to be held at the WTO headquarters in Geneva. Initially scheduled twice in 2021, this important gathering had been postponed due to the appearance of the Omicron variant.
More than 200 ministers are expected in Geneva and most of them will pass through Genève Aéroport.
During these days, scheduled and charter flights along with business aviation flights will operate normally. However, private flights will be suspended during this period.
Swiss Air Force presence
From 11 June and until the end of the Ministerial Conference, the Swiss Air Force will be present on the tarmac with a specialised detachment and five helicopters which will operate various prevention and surveillance missions in the airspace around Geneva during the Conference.
