Meeting today in Oporto (Portugal) for their annual conference, the experts of the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) designated Geneva International Airport (GVA) as the most efficient airport in its category.
Geneva International Airport (GVA) has been recognized as the most efficient European airport and today was awarded the prestigious Airport Efficiency Excellence Award in the category of airports with less than 15 million passengers per year.
This award was made by the experts of the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS), based on an analysis of many parameters, including the number and quality of available infrastructure facilities, the diversity of visits to the Airport, the level of charges, the volume of business activities, and its financial results.
This Award is recognition once again of the efforts made by the Airport authorities to ensure the solid and sustainable financial and operational development of the Airport.
Robert Deillon, CEO of Geneva International Airport, thanked the experts for their work and confirmed that improving efficiency is a constant concern for the managers of Geneva Airport. "Winning this award would not have been possible without the cooperation and involvement of all the staff of GVA and of all the Airport’s partners", he added.
