Two F/A-18s and a Super Puma at Geneva

During the course of training exercises, the Swiss air force brought two F/A-18 fighters in to land at Geneva at 14:20. These were followed at 15:50 by a Super Puma helicopter, which took off again immediately, heading for Meiringen.

The two F/A-18s will leave the airport at around 10:00 on Tuesday 27 March. In the meantime, they will be parked at P48.

These aircraft were absorbed into the airport's regular traffic and did not interfere with normal operations.

The purpose of the exercise is to train air force personnel in conducting logistical operations away from their home base, using an alternate civil airport with international traffic.
