Rise in passenger traffic in 2002

The management of Geneva International Airport announces :

TWhile passenger numbers are falling at most European airports, Geneva International Airport was used by 7,615,009 passengers in 2002 - a slight increase of +0.9 % over the figure for 2001.

The outlook for 2003 is very good. The budget approved by the board of directors at its meeting of 20 December 2002 projects net profits of around 25 million francs and record investments of over 60 million francs.

Geneva International Airport is even more intent, mainly thanks to the improved reach of its air services, particularly by long-haul flights, on meeting the air transport expectations of French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France and on contributing to the attractiveness and development of the region.
