Geneva-Cologne/Bonn inaugural flight

The inaugural flight of the Geneva-Cologne/Bonn connection by the German airline Cirrus Airlines took place on Monday 5 May 2008.

The aircraft, a 30-seater Dornier 328, was "baptised" by the Airport Security Service before moving to its parking slot.

During a short ceremony afterwards, Daniel Noraman, General Manager of Cirrus Airlines, and Robert Deillon, General Manager of GVA, stressed the importance of the new connection. Cologne/Bonn airport in fact serves a region that is not only rich in history - Cologne was founded in 50 A.D. and is one of the main centres for Roman art in Germany - but also important in economic terms.

Cirrus Airlines will make two flights a day from Monday to Friday, and one flight on Sunday.
