Open House at Aéro-Club de Genève

Aéro-Club de Genève organises an OPEN HOUSE DAY for the general public on Sunday April 30th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an animated exhibition of all its groups activities in the large hangar of its Vol Moteur Group, Route H.-C. Forestier 38 in Meyrin, at the north of Genève Aéroport.

Free admission, nearby parking, on-site catering.

For visitors using public transportation a free shuttle bus is provided by Genève Aéroport every 30 minutes from TPG "Tour-de-contrôle" bus stop located in front of the old terminal, Lines 10, 28 and 57, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It is a unique opportunity to meet at once, and in a magical place, pilots and enthusiasts of all these aeronautical disciplines, to find out their training paths, to see and visit aircraft and helicopters, including the REGA/HUG one, to test one’s skills on the flight simulators, to admire the evolution of the Swiss model aircraft aerobatic champions, to discover the activities and professions of the air traffic controllers of Skyguide, the meteorologists of MeteoSwiss, the security and bird control service of Genève Aéroport, or even inquire about the access to the SPHAIR military pilots training programme. A Sunday dreaming about sky, passions and hobbies!

About Aéro-Club de Genève

The mission of Aéro-Club de Genève, founded more than one hundred years ago, is to bring together all lovers of light and leisure aviation, to federate their activities and promote their practices by means of communication actions aimed at the general public and the basic and ongoing training of its members.

The Geneva section of the Swiss Aéro-Club has more than 600 members, pilots of aircrafts, helicopters, gliders, hot air balloons, aerobatics, mountains or glaciers model aircraft and drones. Although the air space of the Geneva region is particularly complex, such as the ever increasing occupancy rate of Genève Aéroport, the Aéro-Club of Geneva is successfully pursuing its multidisciplinary activities, demonstrating the interest of the public and aviation lovers for the 3rd dimension.
