Prior Permission Required (PPR)

Air traffic regulation (permanent)

In order to optimize air and ground operations, prior permission (PPR) is required for all non-scheduled aviation (including IFR helicopter flights) using the main concrete runway, excluding airlines with an authorization granted by Slot Coordination Switzerland.

Remaining capacity of concrete runway (projected capacity) is published on Genève Aéroport’s PPR website.

Procedure

  1. Check remaining runway capacity.
  2. Request PPR permission to a handling agent based in Geneva.
  3. Mention PPR permission number in item 18 of the Flight Plan.

When a NOTAM advices "Grass Runway PPR", contact Skyguide customer’s service the day of operation at +4122 417 43 43 for permission to use the grass runway.
